Career Summary

Charlotte FC announced the signing of American goalkeeper David Bingham on Jan. 30, 2024.

In 2024, Bingham's only appearance with the Club came during CLTFC’s matchup against Cruz Azul in the Group Stage of Leagues Cup. The keeper kept a clean sheet in regulation and made two saves in the shootout against the Mexican side to claim two points for The Crown.

Prior to joining the club, the Castro Valley, Calf. native featured in 202 matches for three MLS clubs – the San Jose Earthquakes, LA Galaxy and Portland Timbers. He began his MLS career with the San Jose Earthquakes in 2011 and appeared in 97 matches for the club.

He was traded to the Galaxy ahead of the 2018 season where he started 85 matches and helped lead the club to the playoffs in 2019 where he started two games.

Bingham joined Portland in 2022 and went on to make 21 appearances for the Timbers in two seasons.

On the international stage, Bingham has made three caps with the United States Men’s National Team. He made his international debut in 2016 in a 1-0 victory over Canada on Feb. 6.
