Academy midfielder Tomas Giraldo signed his first professional contract as an off-roster Homegrown player for the 2020 and 2021, with an option to extend for future years.

Giraldo is born in Medellin, Colombia, and arrived in Canada at the age of eight years old. He joined the Academy in 2015, with the Impact U13, after playing with FSS Salaberry. He becomes the 20th player to sign a Homegrown deal with the first team.

The midfielder took part in his first U17 national team camp in 2019 with head coach Andrew Olivieri, before taking part in the Concacaf U17 Championship and then to the FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil, also in 2019.
