New England Revolution sign French defender Samba Camara
TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing The New England Revolution have signed French defender Samba Camara, the club announced Monday.
Signed on Dec. 23, 2019. Never made it to club after conditions of the transfer, including the player obtaining his P-1 Visa, were not met and voided the contract.
Camara is an athletic, two-footed center-back with eight years of experience in France's second, third and fourth divisions. Born in France, he holds dual citizenship in France and Mali.
OUTSIDE MLS: Camara moved to the Revolution having made 140 appearances, including 136 starts, scoring two goals and adding three assists in more than 12,000 minutes played across all competitions in France. HIs career began in 2012 with AM Neiges Le Havre, before joining Le Havre AC ahead of the 2013-14 campaign. For Le Havre's senior side, he has played more than 5,600 minutes across 65 appearances.
