A right-footed winger that can be utilized on either flank, El Khalifi has been on Real Salt Lake's radar since this past spring, when the 30-year-old spent two weeks on trial with the squad during its opening preseason camp in Southern California. The Rotterdam native has spent his entire 10-year career in the Dutch Eerste Divisie, scoring 33 goals across 260 appearances in The Netherlands' second flight.

International Club Career

2007-2009: SC Cambuur-Leeuwarden (Dutch Eerste Divisie): Khalifi scored 7 times in 64 matches in 2 seasons while with SC Cambuur. Khalifi was a key component to the success of Cambuur's 2008-2009 campaign, which ended with the team finishing with a 20-9-9 record, and a trip to a third-place finish in the Eerste Divisie's regular season standings.

2005-2007: FC Emmen: Khalifi played in 72 matches for Emmen and scored 12 times in his 2 years with the team.

2000-2005: FC Dordrecht: Khalifi played 124 matches with Dordrecht in which he scored 14 goals.
