Mehdi Mostefa

Mehdi Mostefa is a defensive right-footed midfielder who can also play at right back. He plays a hard, physical style of soccer. A late bloomer, he only made his Ligue 1 debut at the age of 27.

ALGERIAN NATIONAL TEAM

He was called up by Algeria for a friendly against Luxembourg. HIs first official game came against North African rivals, Morocco, in a 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier.

CLUB CAREER

Played most of his career in the lower divisions, but his four-year stint with Ligue 2 club Nimes got the attention of Ligue 1. Since 2011, Mostefa has been a starter with AC Ajaccio.
