2020 (Columbus): Lampson joined Crew SC on December 12, 2019. He did not make any regular-season or postseason appearances for the Club in 2020.
2019 (Los Angeles): Lampson spent the 2019 season with the LA Galaxy. but did not make any regular-season appearances.
2018 (Minnesota): Lampson made nine regular-season appearances (all starts) for Minnesota United FC in 2018, registering 31 saves. He made his debut in a road contest against the San Jose Earthquakes (March 3).
2016-2017 (Chicago): Lampson played for the Chicago Fire from 2016-2017, making 25 regular-season appearances (all stars), while registering 11 shutouts and 113 saves.
2015 (Columbus/Pittsburgh/Charlotte): Did not make a First-Team appearance in 2015 ... served as Steve Clark’s backup in Crew SC’s first nine matches ... was listed as questionable ahead of the club’s contest at San Jose (May 16) and the five contests following and did not dress ... went on-loan to Pittsburgh (USL) for one match, starting in the Riverhounds’ 2-1 loss at Charlotte (June 13) ... was loaned to Charlotte (USL) for a span of six matches on July 3 ... he made his Independence debut against Saint Louis FC (July 4), making two saves in a 2-1 defeat ... made seven saves against Louisville City FC in a 1-0 loss (July 11) ... notched a shutout with four saves in a 0-0 draw at Rochester (July 18) ... registered his second-straight shutout with a blanking of FC Montreal (July 24) ... was named to represent Crew SC at the Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game for the second time in as many seasons, playing 45 minutes in the contest (July 28) ... started against Rochester (August 1), New York Red Bulls II (August 5) and at New York Red Bulls II (August 12) before re-joining Crew SC on a full-time basis ... in the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, Lampson served as Brad Stuver’s backup in both the Fourth Round match at Richmond (June 17) and the Round of 16 clash at Orlando (June 30).
2014 (Columbus): Lampson did not make a League appearance during the 2014 season but served as Steve Clark’s back-up in every match. He captured the club’s OhioHealth Humanitarian of the Year award for the second consecutive season. He was named to and represented the Black & Gold at the inaugural Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game in a start as part of the AT&T MLS All-Star Game festivities. He started and played the full 90 minutes in the Black & Gold’s international friendly versus Crystal Palace FC (July 23). He served as Steve Clark’s back-up for the club’s postseason opener against New England (November 1) and in the second leg at the Revolution (November 9). Lampson did not make an appearance in the 2014 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
2013 (Columbus): The club’s 2013 Humanitarian of the Year, he made 13 starts in goal and compiled a record of 7-6-0, with a 1.38 goals against average and five shutouts in 2013. After fellow goalkeeper Andy Gruenebaum was injured and forced to miss the match against Portland (July 7), Lampson stepped in as a game-time decision in his first start of the season and earned a 1-0 shutout win. He started in the international friendly against Wigan Athletic (July 13) and then started 12 consecutive matches in goal from August 3-October 19 where he would record four or more saves in five straight contests and set a career-high in saves with seven in the 2-1 come-from-behind win at Montreal (September 14). Lampson went 3-5-1 – including two shutouts - with a 1.77 goals against average in MLS Reserve League play and also recorded an assist on a Tony Tchani goal against Dayton (July 10). He made one start in the 2-1 Third Round victory against Dayton Dutch Lions (May 29) in the 2013 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
2012 (Columbus): During his rookie season, Lampson made three appearances with one start to make seven saves and allow three goals. The Homegrown product recorded two wins in his backup role to Andy Gruenebaum. The rookie also appeared in Columbus’ friendly against Stoke City and started the Black & Gold's U.S. Open Cup match against the Dayton Dutch Lions.
COLLEGE EXPERIENCE
Lampson began his career at Northern Illinois before transferring to Ohio State. The 'keeper appeared in 56 matches for the Buckeyes starting 55 and posted an impressive 0.86 GAA during that time. Lampson recorded 24 career shutouts during his time at OSU.
YOUTH EXPERIENCE
Two-time MVP at St. Charles Preparatory School 2006 and 2007, earning a spot on the 2007 All-Central Catholic League Team. He was named as team captain during final season. Lampson helped the Crew Soccer Academy advance to the Academy National Finals in 2008. He started on the Academy Great Lakes squad and was a five-time Ohio South State Champion.
PERSONAL
A champion and survivor over Stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma -- a blood cancer he was diagnosed with in his senior year of high school -- Lampson is the son of Christopher and Mecy Lampson and has three older siblings Mallory, Erin and Ben. His older sister Mallory played four years as a starter with the University of Louisville women's soccer team. Lampson plans to attend medical school to study oncology in the future. His favorite pastimes include playing the drums, watching soccer, playing football, basketball and snowboarding. Lampson's greatest sports thrill was playing in the Academy Finals week with the Crew Soccer Academy on ESPN.
