InternationalThe Honduran international joined Minnesota ahead of the 2022 season from CD Marathón of the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Honduras after playing his entire professional career in his homeland. In 2023, Arriaga made 20 appearances and 11 starts, scoring two goals. He scored his first MLS and MNUFC goal against the Chicago Fire on April 23, 2022, and this past season, notched his first goal of the 2023 season against the Fire on April 8, 2023. He has been a consistent piece in the central midfield, especially through the 2023 Leagues Cup tournament, until he suffered a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee after the second match. The Honduran returned to the pitch on September 23, 2023 to finish out the season.
Arriaga has made over 100 domestic appearances between Marathón and Club Atlético Platense, where he made his professional debut. The defensive midfielder scored 19 goals in league play and has five Concacaf League appearances, most recently in the 2021-2022 tournament, where Arriaga played in four games and scored one goal.
He married his now-wife, Daniella, at Allianz Field in April 2023.Â
INTERNATIONAL: Arriaga is a member of the Honduras National Team with 23 caps, including 12 World Cup Qualifier matches. He has two goals and two assists with the senior team since making his debut in October of 2020.
