Jojea Kwizera

Jojea Kwizera, 23, was a first-round pick (15th overall) in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft. Born in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kwizera earned 13 starts in 2021 with Utah Valley University, collecting three goals and eight assists. In 2020, he played in seven games as a starter with one goal and two assists for the Wolverines.

More recently, Kwizera attended CF Montréal’s preseason training camp in Florida this past January. He featured in all four preseason friendlies against New York City FC, Inter Miami CF, the Philadelphia Union, and Miami FC.

Transaction: Jojea Kwizera signs his first professional contract with CF Montréal through the 2022 season, with three option years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
