Career Summary

HOW ACQUIRED: Traded from Montreal Impact in exchange for a 2016 MLS SuperDraft pick on June 12, 2014.

CAREER

2014: Started seven of Montreal's 13 games before being traded. Loaned to Strømsgodset IF in the Norwegian Tippeligaen. Made his Tippeligaen debut on July 26 when he came on as a substitute in the 76th minute in the match against Sandnes Ulf. Totaled three apperances during loan spell.

2013: Surpassed his personal bests in MLS with 30 games played (29 starts) and 2,610 minutes of play for Montreal. Scored his first career MLS goal on Aug. 3 against D.C. United, finishing the season with two goals and two assists. Selected once to the MLSSoccer.com Team of the Week and once by the fans as the Videotron Player of the Game. Started the Eastern Conference Knockout Round game against Houston in the MLS Playoffs. Also helped Impact win the Amway Canadian Championship, starting all four games. Started three CONCACAF Champions League games. Finalist for the MLS WORKS Humanitarian of the Year Award after being named MLS WORKS Humanitarian of the Month for March.

2012: Set personal bests with 28 games played, 25 starts and 2,233 minutes of play in second MLS season, his first with the Impact. Recorded his first assist with the club on June 23 against Houston. Started both games in the Amway Canadian Championship as well as three of four contests in the MLS Reserve League. Also played in international matches against Bologna, Fiorentina and Primavera during the post-season tour in Italy.

2011: Drafted 19th overall (second round) by Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft. Played 24 games (16 starts), registering one assist during regular season while playing as a midfielder and defender. Named the MLS WORKS Humanitarian of the Month in July and the 2011 Whitecaps Foundation Humanitarian of the Year. Selected by Montreal Impact in the 2011 MLS Expansion Draft on Nov. 23.

COLLEGE

Played 87 career games (60 starts) for University of Notre Dame from 2007-10. Recorded 15 goals and 12 assists for a total of 42 points. Was also a three-time member of the All-Big East Conference Championship Team and a four-time Big East Conference Academic All-Star selection. Played four games with the Colorado Rapids U23 in the USL Premier Development League in 2008.

YOUTH & CLUB

Went to Green Mountain High School in his hometown of Lakewood, Colo., where he earned runner-up honors for the Player of the Year award as a senior in 2006. Also played with the Colorado Rush Soccer Club, winning seven straight Colorado State Cup titles as a member of the club's U18 team.

PERSONAL

Son of John and Lorrie Brovsky. Married to Caitlin. Has a sister, Lizanne. Created a non-profit foundation, Peace Pandemic, which aims to disband social stereotypes and connect children around the world through the commonality of playing soccer. Traveled to India and Guatemala through his foundation. Majored in business management. Also played basketball and football.
