BELGIAN NATIONAL TEAM

Vertonghen has registered over 50 caps with the Red Devils since making his international debut in 2007. He appeared in all 10 of Belgium's qualifiers during this cycle of World Cup qualifying.

CLUB CAREER

Vertonghen spent five full seasons with Ajax after returning from loan in 2007-08. He collected two Eredivisie titles before moving on to Tottenham Hotspur. He was named to the PFA Team of the Year in 2012-13.
