Gastón Ramírez is a left-footed playmaker who likes to operate as an attacking midfielder who recently announced he was "back in love with football" after a successful loan to Middlesbrough. 

URUGUAYAN NATIONAL TEAM

Ramirez has registered over 25 caps since making his international debut in 2010, and supplied a crucial assist in the 2014 edition. 

CLUB CAREER

Ramirez played for Penarol in Uruguay before signing with Bologna in 2010. He scored 12 goals over two Serie A seasons with the club, before moving onto England, where he recently rediscovered form playing for Middlesborough.
