Career Summary

Wheeler-Omiunu was selected with the No. 2 pick in the third round of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft. He was a four-year starter at Harvard, compiling 64 appearances, 61 starts, with four goals and six assists. He earned All-Ivy League First Team honors twice while being named team captain during his junior year. The Massachusetts native started at least 14 games each season, and in his sophomore year, he set a career-high in points (7) when he scored two goals and added three assists. In 2016 Wheeler-Omiunu scored one goal and recorded two assists while starting all 15 games for the Crimson.

2017 (Atlanta United): Did not appear in league play as a rookie. US Open Cup: Played 30 minutes in his Atlanta debut against Charleston on June 14.

2016 (Harvard): Wheeler-Omiunu started all 15 games of the season and registered four points with one goals and two assists. He found the back of the net in the season opener against Villanova (Sept. 2) and notched an assist for a game-winner against Washington (Sept. 11). Wheeler-Omiunu earned Ivy League Honor Roll accolades.

2015 (Harvard): Wheeler-Omiunu was dubbed team captain and appeared in 15 games, starting all of them. He was named to the All-Ivy League first team while helping Harvard to six shutouts. He tallied his only goal of the season against Princeton (Oct. 24).

2014 (Harvard): Wheeler-Omiunu was an All-Ivy League first team selection after starting and playing in 17 games for the Crimson while scoring two goals and recording three assists. He scored his first career goal in a 3-0 win over Manhattan (Sept. 23). Wheeler-Omiunu assisted on the game-winning goal in the 84th minute at Penn to close out the season (Nov. 15). He set a career-high in shots with 22 for the season.

2013 (Harvard): In his freshman year, Wheeler-Omiunu saw action in 17 games and started 14. He tallied the first assist of his career in 2-1 victory over Brown (Oct. 19).
