2012: Johansson contributed heavily in his first MLS season, starting in all 21 of his appearances and finishing second among Sounders FC defenders with 1834 minutes. Made MLS debut in opener vs. TOR (3/17). Recorded first two MLS assists in in 2-2 draw at NY (7/15). Made 28 appearances and 27 starts across all competitions.

Professional Experience:

• 2005-11: Played past seven seasons for IFK Göteborg in his hometown of Gothenburg. Made 129 league appearances (two goals) for club, winning Swedish double in 2007 and two more cups in 2008 and ‘09. 2002-04: Made professional debut with second division Västra Frötlunda IF in 2002.

International Experience:
Earned first national team call-in for 2009 friendly with USA at Home Depot Center and later started three world Cup qualifiers, playing on both the left and right side of defense.
