That poor, poor Kelli Tennant.
She's just standing there on the side of the field, doing her job, reporting on the artificial playing surface at BC Place prior to kickoff of the Vancouver Whitecaps and LA Galaxy's 2-2 draw on Saturday.
And — thwack — she takes an errant soccer ball to the back of the head.
The calm and poise that Tennant displays under duress, though, should be lesson No. 1 in every sports broadcasting class across the country from now on: first things first, fix your hair and keep smiling.
