So we already know US youth international Christian Pulisic checked off a first-team Bundesliga appearance for Borussia Dortmund, and now he's put the 'X' in another box on the list after making his 1st start on Sunday against Leverkeusen. The German side revealed the move (drumroll, please …) on Twitter:
Pulisic, whose rapid rise has even the Bundesliga directly educating their fanbase on the eighth-youngest player ever to earn first-team minutes in the league. They close their piece saying this is "only a taste of things to come" – a sentiment echoed by US national team blog Stars and Stripes FC, which recapped the 45-minute effort (Pulisic was subbed off at halftime) and called it a "huge moment … in a very promising career."
Several outlets, including Goal.com writer Allen Ramsey and SI.com contributor Alexander Abnos felt Pulisic nearly tallied an assist near the end of the half, perhaps best captured in this cheeky tweet from Fusion's Kevin Brown.
