When Kei Kamara scored in the 72nd minute, the third in the Colorado Rapids' 3-0 win over FC Dallas in Week 30, the striker known for some memorable celebrations debuted a new one, a slow forward tumble roll.
Then he pointed to the stands.
Turns out, he had a little help on the inspiration for that one: His son.
Kamara posted a video on Instagram a few days ago of his boy scoring in their yard then doing a tumble roll:
Kei executed his own version on Sunday:
It was Kamara's 13th goal of the season, his first campaign with the Rapids. He now occupies sixth place on the league's all-time scoring charts.
His goals have helped the Rapids enter Decision Day presented by AT&T with an outside shot at making the playoffs. They travel to league leaders LAFC (Sunday, 4 pm ET | MLS LIVE on ESPN+, DAZN) needing a win and some help in other games to make the postseason.
