LAFC defender Diego Palacios is among three players to test positive for COVID-19 with Ecuador's national team, the Ecuadorian federation announced on Saturday.
The players have been isolated and are currently going through the federation's quarantine protocol.
Palacios is with Ecuador for their Conmebol World Cup Qualifying matches against Bolivia and Colombia. The 21-year-old was in the matchday squad for Ecuador's 3-2 victory over Bolivia on Thursday, but did not play in the match.
Palacios joined LAFC in 2019 and started 15 of his 16 appearances in 2020, dishing out one assist in his 1,230 minutes. He was a standout for the Ecuador U-20s and has six career senior caps for his country.
LAFC are currently going through preparations for their first match of the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs, which is slated for Nov. 24 against the Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field.
