The Colorado Rapids-Sporting Kansas City match, which was originally slated for September 27, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 21, at 9 pm ET, both clubs announced on Wednesday.

The regular-season game between the Colorado Rapids and Sporting Kansas City, originally scheduled for Sunday, has been postponed after a Rapids player and three members of the club's staff tested positive for COVID-19, Major League Soccer announced Saturday.
The confirmed positive tests took place on Thursday and Friday and all other members of the Rapids returned negative tests. The postponement will allow for additional testing with details about when the game will be rescheduled to be announced at a later date.
As part of detailed health and safety protocols, all players, technical staff and essential club staff are tested every other day with aggregated results announced every Friday.

Major League Soccer today announced that the match between the Colorado Rapids and Sporting Kansas City on Sept. 27 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park has been postponed. One player and three staff members of the Colorado Rapids received confirmed positive tests for COVID-19 during a series of tests conducted on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 24-25. Based on the number of positive test results, Major League Soccer has postponed the match to allow for additional testing and evaluation.
All other members of the Colorado Rapids are asymptomatic, have received negative test results for COVID-19 and are following MLS medical protocol.
Further details regarding when this match will be played will be announced at a later date.
