Rumors linking Radamel Falcao to Inter Miami CF are certainly nothing new.
The Colombian striker, who currently plays for Galatasaray in Turkey, first became the subject of speculation regarding a potential move to the expansion side back in July, when numerous photos surfaced of Inter Miami kits with his name on it on store racks and worn by supporters of the club — although it was hard to tell if that was based on anything more than the desires of a passionate faction of the fan base.
As it turned out, Galatasaray president Mustafa Cengiz would say a few weeks later at a press conference that the club had agreed on a reworked contract that would keep him with the club. Falcao originally signed a three-year deal in 2019.
However, a move to Miami might not be off the table just yet. At the very least, there does appear to be interest from the player.
"I have two more years left in my contract with Galatasaray and I want to play with Inter Miami because there are a lot of Colombians there and it reminds me of my country," Falcao reportedly said in an interview with motivational speaker Daniel Habif.
Assuming he plays out his full contract in Turkey, that would make Falcao 36 years old by the time such a move would take place. He has plenty of pedigree, though, in a career that has seen him feature for some of Europe's powerhouse clubs and star for the Colombian national team. He would also certainly be a big-name draw for a fan base that has made it clear they'd welcome him with open arms.
