TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
FC Cincinnati are looking to strike a deal with Velez Sarsfield for 20-year-old Argentine winger Alvaro Barreal, according to a report.
According to Argentine reporter Lautaro Mendez, FC Cincy have made a formal offer for Barreal, who reportedly is intrigued at the chance to get added minutes.
Barreal came up through the Sarsfield youth setup, signing with the first team in July 2018. But he only made five league appearances this season for a total of 110 minutes. He has one goal, scored against River Plate in Feb. 2019, in 15 league performances. Barreal represented the Argentina U-20 national team at the 2018 COTIF Tournament in Spain, scoring twice in five matches as Argentina captured the tournament.
