The 32-year-old center back has been with Sporting CP since 2019 after spending the previous six seasons with Russian side FC Zenit St. Petersburg, also spending time on loan with in Turkey with Fenerbahçe S.K. He has 19 career caps for Portugal since making his senior team debut in 2013.
