It's only Week 1 in MLS, but supporters are already in midseason form.
In Frisco's Toyota Stadium, where FC Dallas hosted the Philadelphia Union, supporters from the Dallas Beer Guardians committed a Mandalorian/MLS Cup-themed tifo concept to cloth. Din Djarin and Baby Yoda (because of course Baby Yoda) featured in the tone-setting tifo.
Meanwhile, in Orlando, where the club is still seeking its first playoff appearance in five seasons, supporters in the Purple Wall showed their commitment to the club, borrowing from the brash Jordan Belfort as interpreted by Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street.
Not to be outdone in their MLS debut, The Backline supporters' group in Nashville announced their arrival with an inspired pregame tifo display:
MLS Opening Day continued a week of impressive tifo from supporters. Before Thursday's Concacaf Champions League second leg, LAFC's 3252 supporters paid tribute to Kobe and Gianna Bryant, who were tragically killed in a helicopter crash on Jan. 26. LAFC went on to will themselves to an amazing 3-0 home win over Leon, allowing the MLS club to advance to the tournament quarterfinals.
