Inter Miami CF announced on Monday they have signed forward Jerome Kiesewetter ahead of their inaugural 2020 season.
Kiesewetter, 26, joins Inter Miami after playing the 2019 season for USL Championship club El Paso Locomotive, where he scored 12 goals in 28 appearances.
“Jerome brings speed, athleticism and experience to our roster,” said Inter Miami CF sporting director Paul McDonough in a statement. “We are pleased to bring him to Inter Miami and begin working with him in preseason.”
Kiesewetter is a dual German-American national, having begun his professional career in Germany, coming up through Hertha Berlin's youth system before making his pro debut for the second team in 2011. He has also played for Stuttgart and Fortuna Dusseldorf prior to coming to the United States.
The forward is also a US international, having represented the United States extensively at youth level and with two senior caps to date.
Kiesewetter is the second forward to join Inter Miami's squad, ahead of their debut season in 2020.
