Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is having himself a big NFL season, but he's not doing too shabby in MLS.
Wilson became a co-owner of the Sounders in August, joining a star-studded group of new owners. And in his first season as a new owner, Wilson watched his team advance to MLS Cup at home, which prompted this opening to his Friday press conference for the Seahawks in the lead-up to the MLS title match:
"Hopefully we win. For the Sounders, that'd be huge," Wilson predicted. "We wish we could be there to watch it, but we'll be traveling on the road. I know it'll be a great MLS championship game and I'm picking the Sounders 3-1. I'll go 3-1."
The final result in 2019 MLS Cup? 3-1 Seattle Sounders.
Wilson couldn't be on hand at CenturyLink Field for the MLS Cup championship match since the Seahawks (7-2) are traveling to San Francisco to face the undefeated 49ers (8-0) in a Monday night football game.
