After three rounds of Audi MLS Cup Playoffs action, just 11 perfect remaining brackets remain. This season's finalists busted more than a few brackets-- but not all of them.
Eleven people out there predicted that the Seattle Sounders would host Toronto FC in MLS Cup, with upsets along the way. There had been 239 perfect brackets heading into the Conference Finals, though with favorites LAFC and Atlanta United being eliminated, that number fell down to just 11.
Of those 11, most are leaning Toronto. In fact, nine of the 11 remaining perfect brackets have Toronto continuing their run of upsets and winning MLS Cup at CenturyLink Field.
For what it's worth, FiveThirtyEight gives the hosts a 65% probability of lifting the trophy.
Of all the brackets submitted, currently perfect or not, 3% chose TFC, which was fifth-most of the qualified playoff teams. Seattle were predicted to win the title by 9% of fans, fourth-most.
Can TFC spring one more upset or will the Sounders win, leaving just two clairvoyant fans alone with perfect brackets after a wild 2019 playoff run?
