TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:Mutual termination
D.C. United and midfielder Chris McCann have mutually parted ways, the club announced Wednesday.
McCann, 32, played 319 minutes for D.C. United in 2019 after spending the previous two seasons with Atlanta United. He also appeared in one U.S. Open Cup game for D.C., scoring an equalizing goal off the bench in extra time against Philadelphia.
“We want to thank Chris for his time with the club,” Dave Kasper, United general manager and VP of soccer operations, said in a team release. “We wish him the best in his next endeavor.”
Prior to his time in the nation's capital, McCann made 51 appearances (34 starts) in his two seasons with Atlanta and was a part of the Five Stripes' MLS Cup-winning squad in 2018.
