JULY 16: D.C. United already have three Argentinians on their roster, and a new report out of Spain suggests that the Black-and-Red are mulling another during the current transfer window.
Mateo Garcia, a left winger currently on the books at Spanish second-division club UD Las Palmas, is the player in question. Garcia, 22, is a product of the youth system at Instituto de Cordoba and moved to the Canary Islands in 2016 for a transfer fee reported at a shade under $500,000.
He's since gone out on loan three times, twice in Spain and most recently to Greek club Aris for last season, which appears to have piqued the interest of other suitors in Greece.
