The Home Depot and Major League Soccer announced an extension of their partnership through the end of the 2022 season and the multi-year agreement coincides with the launch of a joint digital brand campaign this summer that will highlight the league’s stars and the home improvement company’s home appliance product innovation from LG Electronics.
Among the stars of MLS featured in new spots for The Home Depot’s line of products are Portland Timbers star Diego Valeri, LAFC striker Diego Rossi, Chicago Fire World Cup-winner Bastian Schweinsteiger, and 22-year-old Sporting Kansas City attacker Daniel Salloi. Other popular players featured in the campaign are Dom Dwyer, Brad Guzan, Danny Hoesen and Adama Diomande.
The Home Depot and MLS partnership dates back to 2008 and the company has also been a partner of the Mexico national team since 2003.
As part of the renewal, The Home Depot continues to be the exclusive home improvement retailer of the MLS and the Mexico national team and it will be a 2019 partner of Campeones Cup, an annual match between the champions of MLS and Liga MX which this year will pit Atlanta United against Tigres UANL or Club America on August 14.
The Home Depot is also a sponsor of its hometown MLS team Atlanta United.
