LAFC are scoring goals at a historic pace after six games

LAFC are scoring goals at a historic rate. In fact, no team in MLS history has scored more through six games.

Behind Carlos Vela, Diego Rossi and Adama Diomande, LAFC have netted a ludicrous 19 goals and picked up five wins and a draw in the process to top the Supporters' Shield race at this early stage. They are currently on pace to score 108 goals during the regular season.

LAFC have bettered the six-game mark previously held by the 1998 LA Galaxy, who scored 17 goals over their first six games. To boot: Even if LAFC are shut out on Saturday against FC Cincinnati (10:30 pm ET | MLS LIVE on ESPN+ in US, DAZN in Canada) they'll retain a share of the record through seven matches.

Bob Bradley's attacking juggernaut makes another appearance on the all-time top five through six games, as their expansion season in 2018 is tied for the third-most goals through six games in league history. To temper enthusiasm a little, it's worth noting that side finished only second in MLS with 68 goals scored, two behind Atlanta United's 70.
