The 2019 Cascadia Cup came down to the final game.
The Seattle Sounders have taken their second straight Cascadia Cup after defeating the Portland Timbers 2-1 on Saturday night. The win put the Sounders on seven points for the 2019 competition, with the Timbers finishing with six. This is the sixth time Seattle have won the Cascadia Cup.
Created by the supporters of the Sounders, Timbers and Vancouver Whitecaps, the Cascadia Cup has been around since 2004. It was contested by all three teams in USL until 2009, when the Sounders made their MLS debut. The Whitecaps and Timbers continued battling for the Cup in the lower divisions until 2011, when both moved up into MLS, allowing the Sounders to get back in on the competition.
The Sounders are the defending champions, with their 2018 title proving their first since 2015.
