Team of the Week presented by Audi: Rooney races ahead in Week 3

Week 3 of the 2019 MLS regular season was filled with goals and exciting performances, which is evident in the Team of the Week presented by Audi.

No scoreless draws for the week, and six games featured five or more goals scored. That's not to say there weren't good defensive performances as well, but most of the defenders selected this week had tangible contributions in attack.

Audi Player Index Spotlight

This week's spotlight player is D.C. United forward Wayne Rooney, who had a hat trick and an assist in a 5-0 romp over shorthanded Real Salt Lake on Saturday. Rooney earned 1,797 points, best in the league for the week.

In addition to his goals and assist, Rooney had three key passes in the game and completed 79 percent of his passes in the opposition half.
