TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Loan
FC Cincinnati have acquired US international midfielder Kenny Saief on loan from Anderlecht, the club announced Wednesday.
Saief, 25, has played in Belgium for the last five seasons, making a combined 147 appearances with KAA Gent (2014-18) and Anderlecht (2018-19). He had 16 goals and 13 assists.
“We are excited to add a player of Kenny’s caliber to our team,” FC Cincy Head Coach Alan Koch said in a club statement. “He is someone who comes to our club with significant top-tier experience. We look forward to welcoming Kenny to Cincinnati and integrating him within our group immediately.”
Born in Florida, Saief holds American citizenship though he and his family moved back to Israel when he was three years old. He represented Israel throughout his youth and even made two friendly appearances for the senior national team, but wasn't cup-tied and switched to play for the US national team, making his debut in 2017. He has made four caps with the USMNT.
