The New England Revolution enter the second season with Brad Friedel marauding the touchline ... and the squad is undoubtedly his.
Friedel minced no words this offseason, saying, simply, the Revs need to score more goals. So, the club kept hold of Diego Fagundez, as well as the rest of last season's attack, while adding Spanish playmaker Carles Gil and Colombian forward Juan Fernando Caicedo.

Projected Starting XI
Team strengths and weaknesses
- Strength: They have an overall identity – they're a rough-and-tumble, defense-first pressing team, and anybody who wants to play damn well better be committed to that.
- Weakness: Once teams got through the press, they were dogmeat. The Revs weren't able to defend from about mid-May onwards in 2018, a trend that continued in 2019 preseason.
