TRANSFER TRACKER: Roster Update
In the first big moves of the Matias Almeyda era, the San Jose Earthquakes announced their contract decisions on Thursday.
San Jose have exercised 2019 contract options on Matt Bersano, Harold Cummings, Paul Marie, Jimmy Ockford and Kevin Partida. Cummings, 26, made 21 starts for the Quakes last season.
The club announced they will not exercise options on Yeferson Quintana, Jahmir Hyka, Chris Wehan, Danny Musovski and Mohamed Thiaw, while forward Dominic Oduro is out of contract.
Hyka, 30, made 49 appearances over two seasons with the club, scoring six goals and adding five assists.
