TRANSFER TRACKER: Roster Update
After a disappointing 2018, change is afoot in at the StubHub Center. The LA Galaxy have exercised the 2019 contract options on four players while declining the options on eight players, the club announced Monday.
The 2019 options for Sebastian Lletget, Daniel Steres, Bradford Jamieson IV and Justin Vom Steeg have all been picked up.
Longtime defender Ashley Cole is one of the players who saw his contract option declined, alongside Michael Ciani and Baggio Husidic. Additionally, Chris Pontius, Dave Romney, and Emmanuel Boateng are out of contract though are currently in negotiations with the club.
The Galaxy finished 2017 just one point below the playoff line after a devastating loss on Decision Day to Houston Dynamo, keeping the club on the outside looking in for the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs.
