As if there was any doubt.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic's stunning, spinning, outside-of-the-boot volley in the LA Galaxy's 5-3 loss at Toronto FC last weekend has been voted the AT&T Goal of the Week for Week 29.
Ibrahimovic's 17th goal of the season and 500th of his pro career began a fightback from three goals down against Toronto. And although the Reds broke through again after the Galaxy came all the way back to make it 3-3, Ibra's strike easily claimed goal of the week honors with 70 percent of the vote.
Gerso Fernandes' chipped goal in Sporting Kansas City's 5-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes finished second with 13 percent of the vote. Luciano Acosta's solo effort in D.C. United's 3-3 draw with the New York Red Bulls took third with 7 percent of the vote.
The Red Bulls' Bradley Wright-Phillips took 6 percent with his bicycled finish, the opener of his hat trick against D.C., and Mauro Manotas got 4 percent for his side volley in the Houston Dynamo's 4-1 win over the Portland Timbers.
Ibrahimovic and the Galaxy return to action on Sunday against the Seattle Sounders (7 pm ET | FS1 — Full TV & streaming info).
