Toronto look to close out 'Caps
A trophy will be hoisted and Concacaf Champions League qualification will be sealed for either Toronto FC or Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday night (7:30 pm ET | TSN) in the Canadian Championship.
The teams head into the second leg in Toronto tied 2-2 on aggregate after TFC netted a crucial 90+6' equalizer at BC Place last week. Now, avoiding defeat (or a high-scoring draw) will see Toronto win their third consecutive championship. Or, the table could be set for an epic Whitecaps victory, which would be their second championship in their history.
Jozy Altidore will be available as will Alphonso Davies, but look out for Jonathan Osorio-- He has two goals in his three Canadian Championship games this season, including in the first leg, and also scored in the Concacaf Champions League final against Guadalajara.
Tough act to follow for D.C.

D.C. United look to build on Rooney's moment of brilliance and Luciano Acosta's hat-trick as they attempt to climb the Eastern Conference table into the playoff places. Wednesday night will be a difficult task against the Portland Timbers (8 pm ET | TV & streaming info), who have just seen their 15-match unbeaten streak broken on the weekend. Bill Hamid will make his return for D.C. while new-Timbers signing Tomas Conechny has traveled with the team, though fellow additions Jorge Villafana and Lucas Melano have not.
Playoff implications in the West
Don't look now, but LAFC are winless since July 18. Losses to Minnesota United, New York Red Bulls and Sporting KC have come each weekend with a draw to LA Galaxy and a gut-wrenching loss in penalties to Houston Dynamo in the U.S. Open Cup semifinals in midweek games.
Injuries have begun to catch up to Bob Bradley's side, who are experiencing their first extended adversity this season. With visiting Real Salt Lake (10 pm ET | ESPN2 - full TV & streaming info) just one point behind them, LAFC could find themselves clinging to the last playoff place in the Western Conference by night's end. But RSL haven't been in form either, having won just once in their last five matches.
