For the second year in a row, the Portland Timbers have teamed up with iconic hiking boot manufacturer Danner to produce a lovingly-crafted piece of footwear for supporters who consider their allegiance a lifestyle as much as mere sports fandom.
Yes, Danner’s “Timbers 600” is back for 2018, a full-grain leather hiking boot that sports PTFC’s logo and colors as well as a Vibram outsole, waterproof upper and all the other rugged features you’d expect from the Portland-based company’s products.
Billed as “a hiking boot ready to take on any conditions – whether on the trail, in the city or on the sidelines,” the Timbers 600 also pays tribute to the club’s 2015 MLS Cup championship with a subtly-placed star. While it might not replace the boots worn by the players on gameday, it looks likely to become a favored footwear choice for the club's most ardent fans.

“The 2018 Timbers 600 is a great evolution of our partnership with Danner,” said Timbers creative director Alex Kocher in a press release. “We're incredibly fortunate to have such creative and talented partners. The level of detail in this boot is what truly makes this year's silhouette special.”
It retails for $200 and is available in both men’s and women’s sizes at all Oregon Danner store locations and at Danner's website. The boot was unveiled with a photo shoot featuring three members of the Timbers’ current roster, and is sure to be a hot seller across the Rose City and beyond.
