TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Rumor
Both the Chicago Fire and Columbus Crew SC are reportedly interested in Polish midfielder Przemyslaw Frankowski, who helped Jagiellonia Bialystok secure a Europa League spot in next season's competition. That's the word out of Poland, where both Futbol.pl and Sportowe Fakty have the story (in Polish).
Frankowski, 23, received his first senior international cap this past March after multiple starts with Poland's youth teams. He was named to his country's 35-man preliminary roster for the upcoming World Cup but did not make the final cut.
According to the reports, perennial Polish powers Legia Warsaw and Turkish top teams Bursaspor and Galatasaray are also considering signing Frankowski. The Fire, of course, have a history of signing Polish international players dating back to their debut season in 1998.
