Orlando City SC announced the addition of YouTube TV to its broadcasting lineup on Thursday, unveiling a new multimedia rights agreement with the cable-free live television service.
YouTube TV will exclusively stream all of Orlando’s locally-televised matches live, including the pregame, halftime and postgame shows, for the remainder of the season, starting with the Lions’ home match against Real Salt Lake on Sunday (5 pm ET | Full TV & streaming info). Orlando City are the third MLS team to strike a broadcast deal with the platform, along with LAFC and the Seattle Sounders.
“Our fans are constantly on the move, using different devices and consuming our sport through a variety of channels that fit their lifestyles, and we want to keep pushing the boundaries, giving them opportunities to connect with our team from anywhere,” OCSC executive Chris Gallagher said in a club release. “This is an exciting development in the right direction for our club.”
All of the team’s 18 remaining locally-televised matches will now be available to stream live on a dedicated Orlando City YouTube TV channel. Fans can subscribe to the service for $40 a month and have streaming access to OCSC channel as well as popular sports networks including ESPN, FOX and FS1, where eight nationally-televised Lions matches will also air later this season.
Orlando City will continue to be locally televised on WRDQ TV27. Regular-season matches are also transmitted in English on WYGM FM 96.9 The Game or WTKS Real Radio 104.1 FM and in Spanish on La Nueva 990 AM.
