TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
The Seattle Sounders have been looking for reinforcements before the primary transfer window closes, and Spanish winger Diego Capel could be an upcoming addition.
The 30-year-old was spotted at Sounders training on Thursday, wearing Nicolas Lodeiro's No. 10 gear, as reported by several outlets, including Pro Soccer USA. A Sounders spokesperson confirmed to MLSsoccer.com that Capel is training with the team.
Capel most recently played in Belgium for Anderlecht. He's also played in Italy for Genoa, in Portugal with Sporting Club (where he played with former Sounders forward Fredy Montero), and in Spain for Sevilla. A successful Spanish youth international who won European U-19 and U-21 titles, he also has two caps with the Spanish senior national team, in 2008.
The Sounders are back in action on March 31 at home against the Montreal Impact (10 pm ET | MLS LIVE in US; TVAS in Canada).
