TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:Signings
The Seattle Sounders announced Tuesday that they signed midfielder/forward Lamar Neagle to return to the club in 2018 and also added goalkeeper Calle Brown to the roster.
Neagle, the fourth-ranked goalscorer in club history, returns after coming back to Seattle from D.C. United in a midseason trade last year. The 30-year-old from nearby Federal Way, Wash., will be playing in his seventh overall season for the club, across four separate stints.
Meanwhile, Brown joins Seattle after spending the last two seasons with the Houston Dynamo, making 19 appearances for the club's USL affiliate Rio Grande Valley.
“We are happy to bring Lamar back to the club and welcome Calle into the Sounders family,” said Sounders FC general manager & president of soccer Garth Lagerwey. “Lamar gives us an experienced and reliable option in the attack, while Calle completes Tom Dutra’s goalkeeper group by giving us three solid players that we can play between the posts.”
Tuesday's signings bring the Sounders' roster to 27 players as the club departs for the first leg of its CONCACAF Champions League matchup with Santa Tecla FC on Thursday (10 pm ET).
