Reports over the years have linked various MLS teams to Colombian forward Darwin Quintero, and a new one reveals two teams reportedly chasing after the Club América star.
AS USA reported on Thursday that two Canadian clubs, Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC, are interested in adding Quintero. According to the report, Toronto have offered $5 million for Quintero, while Vancouver are mulling an offer for the player.
TFC faced Club América in a preseason friendly in Mexico City on Thursday, as preparation for the start of CONCACAF Champions League play later this month. Quintero scored a goal in a 6-3 win for the Liga MX outfit.
Quintero, 30, has been with Club America since 2014, winning two CCL titles during his time there. The former Colombia international has spent the bulk of his career in Mexico, previously playing for Santos Laguna, but he also has experience playing in his native country and in Russia.
