Currently mired in a contract dispute with Chivas in Liga MX, Mexican international defender Oswaldo Alanis could end up joining LAFC this winter, according to 90min.com.
Alanis has been left behind from Chivas' preseason training trip ahead of the 2018 Clausura after refusing to extend his contract, ESPN reports.
With Alanis in need of first-team minutes ahead of Mexico's trip to Russia for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, a move to LA to join El Tri teammate Carlos Vela would make sense from the standpoint of assimilating to MLS.
LAFC GM John Thorrington and coach Bob Bradley earlier this month have made a couple high profile moves at Alanis' central defensive position, trading for Walker Zimmerman and Laurent Ciman.
