Atlanta United FC have reportedly made a massive offer for one of the top young talents in Argentina.
Argentine reporter Cesar Luis Merlo reported on Tuesday that Atlanta are putting together a $14 million offer for Argentina U-20 and Independiente attacking midfielder Ezequiel Barco. According to Merlo, if Barco, age 18, accepts Atlanta’s offer, Independiente will allow him to leave.
Barco has five goals and two assists in 35 league appearances since he debuted for Independiente in August 2016. He made eight appearances for the Argentina U-20s at the 2017 U-20 South American Championships, but did not make the country’s squad for the U-20 World Cup in May.
