After three years of qualifiers, the field for the 2018 World Cup is finally set.
Peru became the 32nd and final team to qualify for Russia on Wednesday night, beating New Zealand in Lima to win their intercontinental World Cup qualifying playoff series.
They completed a field that includes 14 teams from Europe, five each from South America, Africa and Asia and three from North and Central America and the Caribbean. While the US won’t be competing, plenty of MLS players will find themselves in Russia next summer.
The World Cup draw is scheduled for Friday, December 1 in Moscow. The draw will be televised on FS1 in the United States with coverage starting at 9:30 am ET, and on TSN in Canada beginning at 9:50 am ET.
