Atlanta United cannot stop scoring. United shut down a struggling 10-man LA Galaxy, scoring all four goals in the first half at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Atlanta went up early, with three goals in seven minutes, including a brace from Yamil Asad. The Galaxy did not do themselves any favors when Jermaine Jones was booked soon after for violent conduct in the 39th minute.
Unlike their 7-0 victory over New England, ATL settled into a controlled possession game in the second half, and kept a clean sheet for the eighth time this season.

SLIPPING ON THE GOLDEN BOOT?:
MLS has yet to see goal-scoring domination like that of
Josef Martinez's
current streak. With 17 goals so far -- and at least one goal in each of the last four matches -- Martinez is quickly catching-up to current MLS Golden Boot leader
David Villa
(19) of NYCFC.
