The MLS Disciplinary Committee has handed down suspensions to two players and fined another player after Week 20 of the 2017 MLS regular season.
Jack McBean serious foul play
The Disciplinary Committee has suspended LA Galaxy forward Jack McBean for one game and issued an undisclosed fine for serious foul play that endangered the safety of an opponent. The incident in question took place during the 43rd minute of the LA Galaxy's match against the New England Revolution on July 22 (video above). McBean will serve his suspension during the Galaxy's match on July 29 against the Seattle Sounders.
Gerso Fernandes serious foul play
The Disciplinary Committee has suspended Sporting Kansas City midfielder Gerso Fernandes for one game and issued an undisclosed fine for serious foul play that endangered the safety of an opponent. The incident in question took place during the 76th minute of Sporting's match against Real Salt Lake on July 22 (video above). Fernandes will serve his suspension during SKC's match on July 29 against Chicago.
Ilie Sanchez hands to face/head/neck of an opponent
The MLS Disciplinary Committee fined Sporting Kansas City midfielder Ilie Sanchez an undisclosed amount for violating league policy regarding hands to the face, head or neck of an opponent. The incident in question took place during the 47th minute of Sporting's match against Real Salt Lake on July 22 (video above).
