Miami FC and FC Cincinnati will have to wait to decide their Lamar Hunt US Open Cup quarterfinal, after lightning in the Miami area forced the postponement of Wednesday night's planned match at Riccardo Silva Field.
FC Cincinnati officials said the match could not be played on Thursday because both teams are on the road on Saturday, FCC at Louisville City FC in USL play and Miami FC at San Francisco Deltas in NASL action.
The winner will play either the New England Revolution or New York Red Bulls, who will meet on Thursday night in Cambridge, Mass.
