In the wake of Seattle's MLS Cup victory, there's a pretty incredible new Clint Dempsey meme floating around Sounders-land online -- but to explain it, first, we need to back up a tiny bit.
If you hang out on Twitter or any of the corners of Instagram that involve badly screen-grabbing and reposting things, you've likely long ago (in internet terms) seen this meme involving Kermit the Frog. In a nutshell, it's a good Kermit confronting a bad version Kermit; the image originates from the 2014 movie Muppets Most Wanted. As people do online, they started spreading it with various #relatable captions, like so:
How convenient, then, that the duality-of-Kermit meme was still hot when the great Dempsey showed up at MLS Cup with this look:

Naturally, the internet went to work once again -- and over in the comments section of Sounder at Heart, a Clint-spinoff-of-Kermit-meme meme was born.
For what it's worth, Dempsey kinda sorta did roast Portland when he grabbed the mic onstage at the Sounders March.... But we're a family-friendly web site, so we won't link to it here. If you're so inclined, you can probably find it in the same places you can find this meme.
